Published:5 August 2025

Following extensive consultations with industry, government, academia and service providers, the Australian Government published the initial 10-year roadmap for Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity in early 2025, providing the strategic direction for 2024–2034.

Join us online, Tuesday 26 August, 11:30am – 1:00pm AEST, to hear more about what's planned under the 4 components for the first 10 years of Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity, including:

  • How Australia-wide geoscience helps us to understand what lies on and beneath the land surface and seabed.
  • How National resource assessments will evaluate the potential for the critical minerals and strategic materials required for the net zero transition, geological storage of hydrogen and carbon dioxide, groundwater, and suitable sites for offshore renewable energy infrastructure.
  • The location of the third Deep dive regional project, which will deliver detailed, multi-commodity assessments, plus progress so far on the two deep dives already under way.
  • How the initiative will boost Geoscience delivery, awareness raising and engagement to foster First Nations partnerships and collaborative relationships, and deliver trusted data, information and tools to support decision-making.
