“We live on an incredible planet,” ŮŮÊÓƵChief Scientist Dr Steve Hill said.

“The world around us and under our feet is really amazing, and I’m so passionate about sharing why our Earth is incredible with all Australians.

“Earth science impacts our everyday lives, from switching on a light, to turning on the tap, and even ordering a pizza for delivery. There isn’t a moment of our day that isn’t impacted by the Earth around us.”

ŮŮÊÓƵis leading and participating in a range of activities locally and nationally to celebrate ‘Earth Science Everywhere’, including but not limited to:

All events registered on Geoscience Australia's Earth Science Week web page will be featured on the Earth Science Week calendar, helping to elevate awareness of all events and celebrations around the country.

“I really hope people take this opportunity to really dig into Earth science and learn how a deeper understanding of our Earth’s potential unlocks a better future of all of us,” Dr Hill said.
