Earth Science Week 2024 ŮŮÊÓƵPublic Talk: Earth Science is Everywhere!

Earth Science is everywhere! Everything you touch has a link to Earth science – whether it is getting a glass of water or turning on your TV; Earth science has contributed to it. Understanding the science of the Earth is fundamental in ensuring we live sustainably with our country and in harmony with it.

Earth Science Week is an annual week of celebration each October to build awareness of the importance of Earth science and how it impacts our everyday lives. The week offers an exciting opportunity to deepen our understanding of the world around us and to see how Earth science really is everywhere.  With six months to go until Earth Science Week 2025, see some hands-on activities to celebrate the week with students of all ages.

Children have a natural awareness and curiosity of the Earth and fostering that is an integral part of Geoscience Australia’s Education Program. The program provides free, curriculum-based Earth science activities that can be used in the classroom and beyond.
